Independence and Non-Affiliation

Castleport Test Prep is an independent exam-preparation publisher. We are separate from the organizations that create, administer, accredit, or regulate the exams discussed on this website.

Independence from those organizations does not mean Castleport has no commercial interests. We publish our own study materials and have a financial interest in their sales.

No official exam-owner affiliation

Castleport is not an official testing service, licensing board, certification body, or accreditor. Unless an explicitly identified arrangement is documented on the relevant page, no exam organization has sponsored, authorized, or endorsed our resources.

An official handbook cited on a page is a source, not a partnership. An exam name in a title identifies the exam discussed; it does not make our practice material official. A reviewer holding a professional credential is not an authorized spokesperson for that credential's issuer.

Candidates should use the responsible organization's own materials for authoritative registration, eligibility, accommodations, exam rules, and licensing information.

Our own publications

Castleport offers its own exam-preparation books through retail channels, including Amazon. Money earned from our publications supports the publishing business.

When we mention a Castleport book, we are discussing a product in which we have a commercial interest. It should be identified as our book, not framed as an independent recommendation from a neutral comparison service.

Retailers handle their own checkout, shipping, returns, and customer transactions. Our Refund Policy explains the distinction between retailer purchases and any purchase made directly from Castleport.

Free resources and commercial decisions

A free resource should answer its stated purpose without requiring a paid product. A book's availability does not justify withholding an answer explanation, hiding a correction, or requiring an email to display a free diagnostic result.

We must not describe a resource as complete, reviewed, or effective merely because doing so might sell more books.

Advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships

Material paid relationships must be disclosed clearly where they affect a recommendation, link, or placement. An affiliate relationship means compensation may be received for a referral; a sponsored placement means someone paid or provided another material benefit.

We do not accept payment to change a correct answer, conceal a material error, or present advertising as impartial editorial judgment.

Reviewers and conflicts

A paid subject-matter review must still be an actual review by an appropriately qualified person. Relevant relationships and scope should be disclosed with the review record. See Reviewers and Review Status.

Names, trademarks, and external links

Exam, credential, organization, and retailer names are used descriptively. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners. Linking to an organization does not establish endorsement of Castleport.
